1. The Sculpture Walk

2. Evergreen Lake

Referred to as the “crown jewel” of Evergreen, Evergreen Lake offers a park, 1.3-mile natural surface trail for walking and jogging and stunning 5,000-square-foot Evergreen Lake House. In the summer, you can rent paddle boats, canoes and fishing boats.

 

3. Hiwan Homestead Museum

Marvel at the rustic architectural classic that evolved from a one-room cabin in 1893 to a 25-room magnificent lodge (now a museum). The lodge, which displays original and historic furnishings, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. Walk the grounds of park, have a picnic and enjoy the many rotating exhibits throughout the year.

 

4. Alderfer/Three Sisters Park

This park boats more trails per acre of any foothills park – about 15 miles on 770 acres. In addition to hiking, climbers can boulder on rock formations and nature lovers can photograph the ravens, turkey vultures, Cooper’s hawks, red-shafted flickers, mountain bluebirds and Stellar’s jays. There’s also a historic barn near the trailhead.

 

5. Downtown Evergreen
